That’s why Vargas Property Services is proud to partner with A Precious Child, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing children and families with essential resources, educational opportunities, and support services.
From June 29 through July 31, Vargas Property Services is hosting a Fill-A-Backpack Drive to help local students start the school year prepared and confident. Through this initiative, we’ll collect new school supplies and backpacks for children in need throughout the Denver Metro area. With the support of our employees, clients, vendors, and community partners, we hope to contribute toward A Precious Child’s goal of providing 11,500 children with brand-new backpacks and grade-appropriate school supplies.
Below are some of the essential school supplies every student needs to stay organized and ready for class:
Hand Sanitizer – Encourages healthy habits in the classroom.
Backpack – A durable bag with multiple compartments to securely carry books and electronics.
Notebooks – Spiral-bound or composition books for taking daily class notes.
Pencils & Pens – Reliable #2 pencils and black or blue ballpoint pens.
Pencil Case/Pouch – Keeps writing tools and smaller items organized.
Erasers & Sharpeners – Essential for keeping pencils usable and mistake-free.
Highlighters – Used to emphasize important passages and study notes.
Binders & Folders – Help organize handouts and loose papers.
Loose-Leaf Paper – A classroom staple for assignments and note-taking.
Calculator – Scientific or graphing calculators for math and science courses.
Sticky Notes – Perfect for reminders, bookmarks, and study notes.
Small Refillable Water Bottle – Helps students stay hydrated throughout the day.
Funding Essential Resources for Families
To make participation easy, collection barrels will be available at our administrative office throughout the drive. All donated items must be new and will be delivered to A Precious Child before July 31.
In addition to supporting the backpack drive, Vargas Property Services is proud to contribute to A Precious Child’s Resource Bridge Program, which connects families with critical services and basic necessities through a compassionate, personalized approach. Our support will also help provide snack packs for children facing food insecurity.
