Arbor Day, initiated by J. Sterling Morton in 1872, aimed to promote tree planting and conservation. The first Arbor Day was celebrated in Nebraska, USA, where over a million trees were planted. Since then, Arbor Day has spread globally, becoming an annual event in many countries, highlighting the importance of trees and environmental stewardship.
